TERENCE M. AUSTGEN Mr. Austgen is a graduate of Indiana University where he received a B.S. in Business Management in 1975 and a J.D. degree in 1978. He is a lifetime resident of Northwest Indiana. Mr. Austgen concentrates his practice primarily in the area of litigation. He handles trials and appeals and is admitted to practice in Indiana State and Federal Courts. He has developed an expertise in the area of employment and labor litigation. He has represented employers in various labor matters including strikes, worker’s compensation, contract and insurance matters. He has also represented both insurance companies and their insureds in a variety of different cases, including declaratory judgments, interpleader and coverage matters. His extensive litigation experience has focused on cases involving personal injuries, product liability, contract matters, premise liability, commercial litigation and wrongful death. He has successfully argued cases before the Indiana Court of Appeals and Indiana Supreme Court. Mr. Austgen actively participates in the representation of product manufacturers, businesses and individuals. Additionally, Mr. Austgen's litigation experience is not limited to advocacy. He frequently is selected by insurance companies and other members of the Indiana Bar to serve as an arbitrator or mediator for a variety of cases.
